Cinequest San Jose Film Festival

The Cinequest Film Festival is a soul-stirring and personable discovery festival of international films and digital media forums for movie lovers, Maverick film artists and film students. The Festival's uniqueness stems from being always ahead of the curve, whether discovering independent voices in front of and behind the camera, showcasing new technology, or reinventing the very definition of film festival. It's a celebration of Maverick movie-making and a laboratory of new ideas, all rolled into one. Special events include an opening and closing night gala parties, Maverick Spirit Award events (with acclaimed actors such as Danny Glover and Michael Keaton), Film & Technology forums, and Cinequest Music events. The 80+ films will be shown in various theatres in downtown San Jose such as Camera 12, San Jose Repertory Theatre, and the California Theatre. Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival
April 25 -26, 2009 – 10AM The Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival honors Cupertino's sister city of Toyokawa, Japan. The 200 cherry trees and the two traditional lanterns that line the festival park were gifts to the city of Cupertino from Toyokawa. The festival offers a wide selection of Japanese food and beverages, entertainment, demonstrations, cultural exhibits, art, crafts and clothing for sale. A special children's section will feature activities and hands-on arts and crafts, including face painting and a petting zoo. During the festival, a series of cultural displays and demonstrations will be featured at the Quinlan Community Center. All-day entertainment takes place in the park amphitheater. Craft booths throughout the park will offer a wide variety of items for sale, including kimonos, cards, paper sculptures, pottery, jewelry, washi eggs and dolls, Japanese antiques, clothing, paintings, candles, photos, woodwork and T-shirts.
35th Annual Sunnyvale Art & Wine Festival

Campbell Oktoberfest
